VMS Software, Inc. is excited to announce the availability of the OpenVMS Community License that allows the OpenVMS community members (hobbyists, non-commercial software developers, and others) to obtain an OpenVMS license free of charge.
Hello VMS Nation!
As promised, here is an update on where we are with the Community License Program (or CLP as we like to call it).
We are proud to announce the release of OpenJDK V8.0 u222 for VSI OpenVMS Integrity V8.4-2L1. Support for earlier versions of VSI OpenVMS I64 will be provided in a future release. Note that OpenJDK 8 for VSI OpenVMS I64 is not an update for the Java™ Development Kit (JDK) 8 for the OpenVMS Integrity servers Operating System; it is a separate product.
A new 1.5.14 version of the VMS IDE extension to Visual Studio Code has been released by VMS Software, Inc. This release includes quite a significant number of enhancements plus support for embedded SQL with COBOL, Fortran, and Pascal.
