OpenVMS Golden Master Completed ahead of Schedule
VMS Software's engineering team handed off OpenVMS 8.4-1H1 to manufacturing 2 days ahead of schedule.
A round of congratulations goes to VMS Software's tireless development and lab/network support teams! They have pulled off the latest release of OpenVMS for Intel i4-based Integrity servers ahead of schedule.
What makes this a remarkable release is that it happened concurrently with a massive effort to transition the OpenVMS development environment from India to Bolton, Massachusetts USA. The entire development enironment had to be reconstituted: build files, QTV servers, development servers, lab power/cooling, bug tracking, critical developer hires, etc. The VSI team is absolutely thrilled that our perseverence and absolute commitment to quality paid off. We look forward to customers harvesting the fruits of our labor!
