ZIP/UNZIP tools
Essential archiving tools for OpenVMS: zip, unzip, zipcloak, zipnote, zipsplit.
OpenVMS ZIP is a compression and file packaging utility. It is analogous to a combination of the Unix commands tar and compress and is compatible with PKZIP (Phil Katz's ZIP for MS-DOS systems). Packaged with the following companion programs:
- UNZIP unpacks zip archives.
- ZIPCLOAK is used to encrypt entries in a zip file.
- ZIPNOTE allows you to write the comments in a zip file to stdout, write comments and rename files packaged in a zip.
- ZIPSPLIT splits a zip file into smaller parts.
