VMS Software, Inc. Announces Subscription Price Model
VMS Software, Inc. (VSI) has announced a new Subscription based pricing model applicable for all OpenVMS customers. The new model is for all Alpha and Integrity platforms. Plus, this new model will begin to resemble what is being planned for VSI’s x86 V9.2 scheduled for release in early 2022.
Developed to fit the IT industry and our customers changing business needs, customers planning on upgrading from HPE to VSI OpenVMS can now fund this via OpEx (instead of CapEx) by spreading the cost of licenses over time in place of the single upfront payment previously required. In addition, customers purchasing OpenVMS subscriptions receive rights to new versions (both Major and Minor) for the duration of their subscription.
A VSI Subscription proposal includes both VSI “right to use” licenses and VSI support. The support includes your choice of one of 4 different support levels with each level having various benefits. There is also a term period (1y, 3y, 4y, 5y) associated with VSI support. More details are available from the VSI Portfolio Programs data sheet.
