VMS Software Introduces New SAMBA Release
VMS Software, Incorporated (VSI) is pleased to announce the availability of Samba for OpenVMS Version 4.6-5A for VSI OpenVMS Integrity. This new version of Samba is based on open source Samba 4.6.5. Samba is an open source product that allows clients (Windows, Linux, Mac) to access file and print services provided by OpenVMS. Previous versions of Samba for OpenVMS were known as CIFS (Common Internet File System) for OpenVMS. For this and future releases, VMS Software will use the product name "Samba".
