This patch is compatible with systems running other TCP/IP products such as TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS, Multinet, or TCPware. 2.2 Requirements: This kit should be installed only on systems running HPE CIFS for OpenVMS v1.2 ECO1 or VSI CIFS for OpenVMS v1.2 ECO1C. To display the installed version, execute the following command: $ PRODUCT SHOW PRODUCT SAMBA A reboot is not required. If you previously installed CIFS patch set PS2_14, you may apply VSI-I64VMS-SAMBA-V0102-ECO1C-2 on top of PS2_14. To extract the kit files, execute the following command: $ RUN VSI-I64VMS-SAMBA-V0102-ECO1C-2.ZIPEXE 3.2 Installation CIFS must be shutdown, cluster-wide, if applicable, to complete these procedures: $ @SYS$STARTUP:SAMBA$SHUTDOWN Install this kit with the following command: $ @VSI-I64VMS-SAMBA-V0102-ECO1C-2 The procedure will ask if you wish to rename files being replace to *.COM_OLD. To rename the files, enter Yes or press Enter. To delete the files replaced by this kit, enter No. 3.2.1 Post-installation requirements Run the CIFS configuration procedure to define the SMBD and/or SMBD445 services in the VSI TCPIP services database. In a cluster with CIFS running on systems with separate system disks, complete these steps on one cluster member that boots from each applicable system disk: $ @SAMBA$ROOT:[BIN]SAMBA$CONFIG From the main menu, select option 3 - System specific setup. Select option 2 - File server client capacity. Set a new value; the new value can be any value other than the current value. When the menu is displayed again, press Enter to indicate Done.
